Chairman of Delta State Civil Service Commission, Chief (Dr.) Emmanuel Tetsola says the 28-year reign of Warri Monarch, Ogiame Atuwatse II, has brought peace to Warri kingdom.
Chief Tetsola who is also the Planning Committee Chairman of the 28th Coronation Anniversary of the Olu of Warri, noted that there have tremendous development and unity amongst people of Warri Kingdom since the Ogiame ascended the throne.
According to him, activities for this year’s coronation anniversary will commence tomorrow, May 1 with praise and worship, while on May 2 the Olu of Warri will address his subjects as well as receive Itsekiri sons, daughters and groups getting ready to pay him homage.
The three-day programme will be rounded off Sunday May 3 with a thanksgiving service at Four Square Gospel Church, Aghofen, Olu Palace, Warri.
Speaking in the same vein, Chairman of the Coronation Publicity Sub-Committee, Mr. Emmanuel Okotie-Eboh, stated that the Warri Monarch’s anniversary will promote tourism and boost the economy of Delta State.
While describing the Warri Monarch’s regalia as the most flamboyant in the world, Mr. Okotie-Eboh called on Itsekiris and friends of Iwere Nation to attend the coronation anniversary.
