The current public outbursts among leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the wake of President Goodluck Jonathan’s loss to General Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd.) in the just concluded Presidential poll looks set to worsen and if not properly managed will lead to the death of PDP.
Already, PDP Chieftains like Ayodele Fayose, Olusegun Mimiko and its National Chairman, Adamu Muazu appears to be holding their own and even President Goodluck Jonathan’s mediation between the warring party members seem not to be making any difference.
The once self-acclaimed Africa’s Largest Political Party has been polarized between its seating governors and members of its National Working Committee, NWC.
Indications are that if urgent measures are not put in place, PDP may not be able to form a credible opposition to the APC from May 29, because apart from lack of principle associated with Nigerian politicians, the out-going political administration at the Federal level obviously lacks a true leader, who will rally the remaining members of the party and rebuild what is left of a house in disarray.
