The Chairman, House Committee on Trade and Investment in Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Matthew Poko Opuoru, says renovation of Dore Numa College, Merogun Primary School 1&2 and Ogedegbe Primary School, all in Warri, Warri South Local Government Area in Delta State, will commence in the next academic session, courtesy of the Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa led administration of Delta State.

Our Senior Correspondent reports that Hon. Opurou, who is the member representing Warri South Constituency II in Delta State House of Assembly and the PDP Candidate for the Constituency in the forthcoming 2023 general polls, gave the assurance Monday August 15, at Ogedegbe Primary School, Warri, while commencing phase 2 distribution of desks, chairs and tables to schools in Warri.
Recall that the lawmaker had on August 13, 2020, embarked on phase 1 of the educational support programme, with the distribution of 540 desks and 60 teachers’ tables/chairs to different schools in Warri, courtesy of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC.
While Ikengbuwa Primary School got sixty desks, six teachers’ tables/chairs, Pessu Primary School received sixty desks, six teachers’ tables/chairs and Edjeba Secondary School, took delivery of eighty desks and ten teachers’ chairs/tables.

Ighogbadu Primary School, received eighty desks and eight teachers’ chairs/tables, while Igbudu Primary School got sixty desks and six teachers’ chairs/tables, leaving Essi College 1 with fifty desks and six teachers’s chairs/ tables, with Essi College 2, receiving ninety desks and twelve teachers’ chairs/tables. Olodi Primary School took delivery of sixty desks and six teachers’ chairs/tables.
Fresh Angle International can report that while commencing phase 2 of the presentation of sets of furniture to Dore Numa College and Ogedegbe Primary School on Monday August 15, Hon. Opuoru, dedicated the success of the project to Governor Okowa, “for his love for quality education, by making the donations possible, through the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission”.
He noted that a total of 500 desks, 32 teachers’ tables and chairs, will be distributed to eight schools in Warri between today, August 15 and Tuesday August 16.

The benefitting schools for the phase 2 distribution are; Merogun Primary School 1&2, Ogedegbe Primary School, Dore Numa College, Agbasa Primary School, Ojojo Primary School, Ailero Primary School and Ighogbadu Primary School, all in Warri South Constituency II.
Hon. Opuoru, appealed to his constituents to, “support his candidacy, Atiku/Okowa ticket and other PDP candidates in the forthcoming elections”.
The Commissioner representing Udu, Ughelli South and Urhobos of Warri in the Board of DESOPADEC, Chief Vincent Oyibode, commended Hon. Opuoru, “for influencing the project to his constituency, through DESOPADEC”, assuring that the Commission will sustain their support to schools as an interventionist agency.
Whilst stating that Delta State is running free education, Chief Oyibode, commended Dr. Okowa, “for his approach to delivery of quality education in the state”.
The Executive Secretary of Local Education Authority in Warri South, Hon. Wilson Eyimofe Omor, praised, “the quality representation of Hon. Opuoru”, urging him to do more, promising that the sets of furniture will be properly utilized.
