The Media and Publicity Committee of the First Coronation Anniversary of His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, the Olu of Warri, yesterday evening, Monday August 15, released the schedule of activities for the 5-day celebration, commencing Wednesday August 17.
According to a statement credited to Prince Yemi Emiko, the Chairman, Media and Publicity Committee of the First Coronation Anniversary of His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, the Olu of Warri, the event will start on Wednesday August 17, with Praise Day by 2pm at ‘Palace Church’ Warri and will be followed same day with a ‘Novelty Match’ between Ebiren Olori Vs Dynamic Ladies Club. Day 1 will be rounded up with a game between Chevron FC Vs lNYC/Chiefs at Nana College, Warri.
The statement sent to Fresh Angle International last night, outlined Day 2 of the programme (Thursday August 18) as follows; Paint Ball Competition, from 11am- 1.30pm and lwere Concerts by 4pm at the Palace, Warri.
The statement added that Day 3 (Friday August 19) will feature Health Day at the Town Hall in Koko, Headquarters of Warri North Local Government Area in Delta State, by10:00am, while ‘Cultural Display/Homage paying’ at Ode -ltsekiri by 10am as well as ‘Dancing Group and hall’, would highlight Day 4 (Saturday August 20) of the event.
The 5-day anniversary celebration, will be rounded off on Sunday August 21, with a thanksgiving service at the Palace Church, Warri.
