Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, has invited the Presidential candidates of APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, to grace the 2022 Igbo Day celebrations as special guests, saying the trio, will be adorned with special titles.
This much was contained in a press statement sent to Fresh Angle International, today, Friday August 19 by Nkpa Kanu-Uduma(Ph.D.) the Media Head, Office of the Secretary-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.
The statement, noted inter-alia: “The theme of this year 2022 Igbo Day is" IGBO EKUNIA" in the myriad of insecurity and economic challenges confronting the IGBO, the resilience of the Igbo will make Ndigbo rise and come out stronger in every situation and turn it into gold mines, this will be captured in 2022 Igbo Day.
“The Presidential candidates will be special guests at the event with special prayers for the Labour Party's Presidential candidate Mr. Peter Obi. APC and PDP Presidential candidates, Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar will be adorned with special titles.
“The chairman of the occasion will be Prince Richard Ozobu and the Guest Speakers Prof Obasi Igwe(UNN) and Prof Mrs. Helen Ogbonnaya ( Harvard University).
“Arch Uche Uzoanya is the chairman of the National planning committee and Loc chairman, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, as the venue for the 2022 Igbo Day will be Aba Abia state on 28/29th September 2022.
“All Igbo clergymen, will lead the prayer sessions on 29th September 2022, Igbo Governors from the seven Igbo-speaking states will be the special guests. All socio-cultural organizations will be welcome at the event”.
