The Chairperson of Delta State Chapter of Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, Comrade Sonia Unobunjo, says her leadership was at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Ebenezer Model Parish, Asaba in Delta State, Sunday September 4, to thank God, “because thanksgiving is an application for more of God's benevolence”.

Our Kwale Correspondent and Treasurer of the State Chapter of NAWOJ, Christabel Imasuen, reports that Unobunjo, gave the explanation during a reception held by the leadership of NAWOJ at the Association of Senior Civil Servants, ASSCN, Hall in Asaba, after the special thanksgiving service.

 

Comrade Sonia Unobunjo and members of her Executive, had appreciated God for their successful election and inauguration.

 

The thanksgiving service, was graced by Secretary of Delta State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comrade Patrick Ochei, NAWOJIANS across Delta state, veterans in the media and past leaders of the association.

During goodwill messages, a Director of National Orientation Agency, Comrade Stella Macaulay, charged Comrade Unobunjo, to carry members of her executive along and run an all-inclusive administration.

 

The Director of Information, Delta State Ministry of Information, Asaba, Comrade Therasa Oliko, also admonished Comrade Unobunjo, members of her exco and other NAWOJIANS to remain united, just as Delta State Commissioner of Police, Muhammed Ali, who was represented by DSP Bright Edafe, assured that his door will always be open for members of the association.
