Deacon Shola Mese gives Succour To Over 400 Widows, Aged Women

As part of his efforts to reach out to the widows and aged women, Dcn. Shola Mese, through the  Shola Mese Foundation, on Wednesday September 14, celebrated his birthday by distributing food items, clothing and giving out free medicare to the needy, particularly widows and aged women in Warri, Delta State.

 

Our Senior Roving Correspondent, reports that Dcn. Shola, said he considered giving out to the vulnerable as the best way  to celebrate his birthday, adding that showing love to the women, who were more vulnerable  in the society, instead of throwing a party was better.

The event, witnessed a large turnout of aged women and widows from across Warri and its environs to receive treatment and celebrate with Dcn. Shola.

 

Beneficiaries were tested and  treated for blood pressure and sugar level,  malaria and other ailments by medical personnel.

 

The occasion also witnessed donations of clothing materials and food items to the women.

 

Fresh Angle International can report that the event, which started with praise and worship, featured series of prayers and goodwill messages for the celebrant, Dcn. Shola

 

 

Pastor Chichi Umeasiegbu of Four Square Gospel Church, Edjeba-Warri, giving the charge 

 

 

 

 

Speaking at the event,  Pastor (Mrs) Chichi Umeasiegbu of the Four Square Gospel Church, charged the women to draw close to God and take their challenges to God, saying “God is the father to the fatherless and husband to the widows.”

 

Pastor Chichi, leading the women, prayed for God’s blessings upon the celebrant and his family as well as the Shola Mese Foundation.

 

Mrs. Magareth Ifie, a beneficiary, expressed her gratitude to the celebrant for the drugs, food items and clothing given to them and prayed for God’s blessings upon him and his family.

Another beneficiary, Mrs. Eunice Anthony, thanked the celebrant and the Shola Mese Foundation for their good work.

 

“ Dcn. Shola is not just doing these good deeds, but he is doing it as an instruction from God. I pray that he and his household shall be for signs and wonders,“ she said.
