Amid wagging tongues as highlighted in the opinion piece credited to Futugbe Lucky (Media & IT INYC) titled,‘The Devil Within and The Dwindling Popularity Of INYC President, Comr Weyinmi Agbateyeniro, Part 1’,the Secretary of Itsekiri National Youths Council, INYC, Warri South Chapter and Public Relations Officer, Host Communities of Nigeria Producing Oil and Gas, Itsekiri Chapter, Comrade Jemi Ajemijeroma Mene Ejegi, has warned against creating factions in INYC, saying:“If the kind of crisis coming up at the INYC, occurs, it will not be okay for us as Itsekiris, because we need to stand firm as one to defend our tribe”.

Comrade Ejegi, who spoke exclusively to Fresh Angle International on telephone this morning, Thursday September 22, restated his loyalty and submission to the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, “my leader and mentor, Hon. (Evang.) Michael Diden aka Ejele and same to our leaders, mostly Chief Ayirimi Emami”.

Whilst declaring: “When it comes to INYC, I stand with Comrade Weyinmi Isaac Agbateyiniro, President of INYC, Worldwide, no human is perfect”, Comrade Ejegi, posited: “I am appealing to everyone. If anyone of our leaders thinks that the move by INYC, led by Agbas (Agbateyiniro) to Oporoza based on the surveillance contract, was not proper, they should have a rethink, because if the youth body was informed about what was going on, I don’t think they would have gone to Oporoza. Creating factions in INYC, won’t be a way to correct ourselves, rather as educated people, we need to apply diplomacy, not violence.

“Violence comes easily, but to repair is difficult. As youths, we should try to comport ourselves in order to live better lives. I am not saying we shouldn’t respect our leaders, but they should know that we are no longer children and the era of personal interest, must leave for us to achieve our goals”.
