Ability in Every Disability

Thomas Edison grew up in a tiny village in northern Ohio. Everything about him and his family was a total struggle. He was homeschooled because the scarlet fever that attacked him left him partially deaf. He did all sorts of menial jobs.

His situation was never a reason for him not do to anything meaningful with his life. He sold candy and also newspapers. Later he formed his own company that printed his own publications. He founded fourteen businesses and this was his first. General electrical was part of the fourteen businesses.

He failed severally while trying to get the light bulb to work up to a thousand times. But he saw each failure as a method that won’t work. For so many of us that would be a very good exit point for us to abandon our dreams. He believed in himself. Both his personal and professional challenges were not enough to deter him from achieving his dreams.

There shouldn’t be any reason why your potentials should lie dormant. If you do not have a job right now, it may be your own disability but that disability can be transformed into ability. What we have and do not want to utilize hinders our progress in life more than what we do not have. Inborn in us are natural abilities that if well harnessed would eventually make us value creators. Money chases every value that is created.

There are lots you can do. It begins from the inside. Take out time to see those natural abilities that are still dormant in you just because of your own perceived disabilities. You can achieve more. There is greatness within you.
