Rotary Club of Effurun City Centre, donates Edu-Materials to two Delta Schools, to fix Leaking Roof of Isherhe Primary School

In-line with the basic education and literacy programme of Rotary Club International, the Rotary Club of Effurun City Centre, under District 9141, on Friday October 7, donated branded Rotary educational materials to two public primary schools in Delta state, promising to fix the leaking roof of Isherhe Primary School.

Our Senior Roving Correspondent, reports that the two public primary schools are; Ekugbe Primary School, Egborode in Okpe Local Government Area and Isherhe Primary School, Agbarho in Ughelli North Local Government Area, both of Delta State. 

 

President of the Rotary Club of Effurun City Centre, Rotarian Famous Agbonifo (PHF) while making the donation on behalf of the Club, stated: “This is an annual programme in-line with our basic education and literacy programme for pupils in schools.

“Rotary Club, has other areas of focus, what we are doing today is one of the focus areas. The essence, is to encourage the young ones to be future leaders.

 

“We are contributing to the development of these pupils and also compliment the efforts of government as it cannot do everything alone.”

At Isherhe Primary School, Agbarho, the Head Teacher, Mrs. Justina Atiyota, appealed to Rotary Club of Effurun City Centre, to fix a leaking roof in the school, noting: “Especially now that we are in the raining season”. 

 

Responding, Rotn. Agbonifo, promised that Rotary Club of Effurun City Centre, will fix the leaking roof as well as provide other basic amenities like portable water for the school.

Fresh Angle International can report that over 200 pupils, benefited from the gesture as they got school bags, notebooks and other learning materials.

 

The Head Teachers of Ekugbe Primary School, Egborode, Mrs. Florence Segine and Mrs. Justina Atuyota of Isherhe Primary School, Agbarho, thanked Rotary Club of Effurun City Centre for the donation, on behalf of the children. 

 

They also urged the Club to continue the gesture, saying, “it will go a long way to complement the efforts of the parents”.
