The Nigerian Voice for Good Governance, NVGG a Non Governmental Organisation recently gave award to some personalities in Irri, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State.
The well attended ceremony was used to formally flag off the Delta State Chapter of the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that is award at giving Nigeria a voice, with the passion of restoring political sanity in all areas of government, as well as benefit in the tenets of democracy, rule of law, equality, fairness and justice.
In a brief message, the guest speaker, Archbishop Dr. G.A Esquire stressed the need for such NGO to be established in Nigeria giving the political crisis that has befallen Nigeria.
Speaking further, he disclosed that even Jesus Christ will support NGOs whose aim is to foster peace and care for the needy, adding that Jesus Christ while on earth, had an NGO which was to save mankind and cater for humanity, an NGO comprising the rich and the poor, white and black, believers and unbelievers.
Saying “Man is saved to serve mankind because man is the only investment of God on earth.”
Presenting the awards, Dr. Isaiah Overare, president of NVGG, expressed appreciation to God for the opportunity and vision to start the NGO, adding that the NVGG is just a tip of the ice berg.
According to him, Nigeria Voice for Good Governance (NVGG) seeks to promote good work as well as checkmate people in authority and from time to time organize award ceremonies to recognize Nigerians who have impacted the society positively.
Those who bagged the Excellence Award include; HRM Hope U.G. Adike; Paramount ruler of Igbogene Community in Yenegoa Bayelsa State, HRM (DR) Ezeagwu Ezenwali I. FHNR (JP); Agadagidi Obi of Umunede Kingdom, Sir Hon, Itiako C. Ikpokpo (KSM); Chairman Isoko South L.G.A, Mrs. Rose N. Egwuterai; President Food For the Needy Int’l.(NGO).
