NFX Aero to Bring Light Aircraft Manufacturing to Nigeria

NFX Aero plans to helpAfrican entrepreneurs and local government PPEs enter the aerospace industry by offering ultra-low-cost regionalmanufacturing licensegranting rights to build and market the fully FAA certified GA-7 light twin aircraftDesigned and engineered by renown jet aircraft manufacturer Grumman/Gulfstream, the GA-7 NFX is built with robust fighter jet composite technology and constructed with straight forward assembly sequences. The Eco-Friendly GA-7 NFX is known as excellent trainer for both airlines and government, along with a role as luxury personal and charter aircraft.

According to Boeing, the aviation training market has swiftly recovered from Covid, and it is forecast that training over 800,000 pilots worldwide will generate a need for several thousand new planes. Also, serious concerns from air travelers regarding disease and terrorism, are driving an urgent need for smaller, affordable, medium range private and charter aircraft. This adds up to potential sales of $5 Billion USD over the next 15 years.

The barriers to entry into the aerospace industry can be extraordinarily high, but with a very low-cost regional licensing concession smaller less advantaged communities are able enter aviation manufacturing with reduced risk. Even though a Type Certificate, the civil aviation equivalent of a patent, typicallyrequires ten years and $150 million USD investment, NFXAero CEO Wayne Mansfield explained, “Exercising aultra-low-cost licensing concession means that a light aircraftmanufacturing business can become a reality for people who would never have imagined this possibilityplus the program opens wide the door to real life STEM education for youth via manufacturing internships.
