2023: You are consistent in your anti - Itsekiri disposition, group attacks Omo - Agege

A pro - Itsekiri group, Movement For Itsekiri Ethnic Agenda, MFIEA, has bare fangs on  the Deputy Senate President and  Delta State All Progressives Congress, APC Governorship Candidate in the forthcoming elections, Rt. Hon. Ovie Omo - Agege, saying the APC chieftain " is  consistent in his anti - Itsekiri disposition ."

The group in a syndicated press statement released in Warri, Delta state, Monday October 24, opined that the composition of Rt. Hon. Ovie Omo - Agege's campaign council, " which placed the gubernatorial candidate and  his likeMinds at the core of APC planned campaigns,,with Hon. Temi Harriman, Dr. Alex Ideh and Chief Ayirimi Emami at the periphery, clearly speaks to the anti - Itsekiri direction Rt. Hon. Omo - Agege, will follow, if elected as governor. "

The statement, authored by Spokesman of the Movement For Itsekiri Ethnic Agenda, MFIEA, Oritsegbubemi Hope Menetie, recalled how Rt. Hon. Ovie Omo - Agege," allegedly nominated Mr. Bernard Okumagba as Managing Director in the now jettisoned Niger Delta Development Commission Board, for a position legitimately due for an Itsekiri indigene in - line with the NDDC Act of production quota."

They added: " Even though Itsekiris with their aboriginal communities in Delta Central Senatorial district, voted for Omo - Agege, to emerge as Senator, he has  consistently played Urhobo ethnic card in situating constituency projects. So far, he has shutout the Itsekiri aboriginal communities in his constituency projects, despite legitimate outcry by  the Itsekiris in Delta Central.

" Apart from being unreasonable for both the APC Chairman and party candidate to come from the same Urhobo Nation in Delta Central, Omo - Agege's decision to appoint Otive Igbuzor, who openly supports the rascality call ' Wado City' as Deputy Director - General of his campaign council and a certain Chief Birinus Ojogri to coordinate APC campaign in Warri South Local Government Area, which is  dominated by Itsekiri, attests to the DSP's strategic moves to politically decimate Itsekiri Nation in Delta state as a whole and Warri South in particular."
