2023 Polls: The role of media, security agencies to be x-rayed as Delta indigenous publishers, hold annual lecture

The role of Media and Security Agencies vis – a – vis their challenges and prospects as it affects the forthcoming February and March 2023 general elections, will be x-rayed when the Association of Community Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria, ACNPN, Delta State chapter, hold its 2022 annual lecture/awards ceremony on Thursday November 10.

Fresh Angle International can report that this much was obtained from a press statement released weekend by the Chairperson and Secretary of the 2022 Publishers’ Media Week, Comrade (Dr) Felida Essi and Comrade Solomon Ogala, respectively.

The event, taking place at Vienna International Hotel, DBS Road, Asaba in Delta State by 11:00am, is expected to attract dignitaries from different walks of life across Delta State and beyond.

The statement disclosed that Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, will be Special Guest of Honour, while the Rector of Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku, Prof Emmanuel Achenu, will Chair the event.

Provost Emeritus, Dr Ignatius Nwanze Ezoem and Executive Assistant to Delta State Governor on Education Monitoring, who will feature as Guest Speaker.

His Royal Majesty, Obuenwe Johnson Ekpechi Ulu, Ezemu of Emu kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Monday Whiskey Udurhie l, Ovie of Idjerhe kingdom and His Royal Majesty, Obi Fredrick. Egbunkony ll, Igwe of Abala kingdom, will be Royal Fathers of the Day, while Her Royal Highness, Obi Isioma Nwannabuogwu, Omu of Ibusa kingdom, will be Royal Mother of the Day.

The event, will feature lecture/awards, visits to orphanage and old people's homes as well as road walk.
