There are palpable fears in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State following sporadic gunshots in several streets of the City, which is very close to Warri.
Unconfirmed speculation reveals that the fighting which just broke out is as a result of change in leadership at the popular Effurun Motor Park. There is hold-up at major roads in the City as many residents and shop owners are scampering for safety.
The Uvwie Local Government Counci Secretarait has been shut down, many shops along Jakpa Road and other parts of Uvwie have been closed, while cars are being burnt by the Jakpa Junction.
