Tongues are wagging in Delta State following the appointment of former Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Basil Ganagana and three-time Chairman of Warri South Local Government as well as ex-long serving commissioner, Dr. Joseph Sisanmi Otumara as Special Advisers.
The appointment is coming after the governor penultimate weekend sent eight names: David Edevbie, Dan Okenyi, Asupah Forteta, Mofe Pirah, Chika Osai, Henry Sakpra, Jude Sinebe and Patrick Ukah to the State House of Assembly as commissioner nominees.
Already, there have been several disparaging comments on the social media on the appointment of Hon. Ganagana and Dr. Joseph Otumara as Special Advisers by Governor Okowa.
The governor had also appointed and sworn-in former Senator, Chief Emmanuel Aguariavwodo as Special Adviser, with several other supposedly prominent politicians accepting appointments considered ridiculous from Dr. Okowa.
Speculations are rife that more members of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Delta State are gearing up to decamp to the All Progressives Congress, APC following Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s administrative and appointment style.
