HOSTCOM, Itsekiri Chapter pays royal visit to Olu Of Warri, presents challenges to the Monarch

Members of the New Executive of Host Communities of Nigeria (Producing Oil and Gas), HOSTCOM, Itsekiri Chapter, on Tuesday November 1, paid a Royal Visit to the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III in his palace in Warri, Delta State.

 

 

 

 

In his remarks, the Chairman of the new executive, Mr. Itse Omajugho who spoke on behalf of other members of the chapter, stated that the purpose of the visit was to intimate the Monarch of how the association has done so far as well as inform him of some of its challenges. 

 

Mr. Omajugho told the Warri Monarch that DESOPADEC has yet to keep its promises to HOSTCOM Itsekiri chapter 

 

“They promised adequate contracts and other benefits to the association, but up to this point, no single contract has been awarded to us.

 

“We also submitted list of projects to the government, but none of the contracts were awarded since 2015”, he added.

Our Senior Roving Correspondent, reports that Mr. Omajugho appealed to the Olu of Warri, to impress it on the state government and the Itsekiri representative in DESOPADEC, to consider HOSTCOM Itsekiri Chapter in the scheme of things.

 

“They should consider us for the post of Member Representing the Itsekiri Ethnic Nationality among other benefits in the Board of DESOPADEC”, Mr. Omajugho, appealed.

 

In his response, the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, commended the HOSTCOM Itsekiri Chapter for the visit and promised to look into their requests.
