The Traditional Council of Chiefs of Okere-Urhobo Kingdom, Warri has described media statements credited to Chief Gideon Okumagba, Chief Victor Okumagba and Chief Eseoghene Eshalomi regarding The Regent/ Otota of the kingdom, Chief Wilson O. Eboh (JP) “as an act of brigandage, disrespect and over reaching the yet to be heard case by them”.

The Chiefs in a press statement made available to Fresh Angle International noted that “Chief Gideon Okumagba, Chief Victor Okumagba and Chief Eseoghene Eshalomi are not Chiefs of Okere-Urhobo Kingdom and as such cannot attend the meetings of the Traditional Council of Chiefs of the Kingdom meant exclusively for Chiefs of Okere-Urhobo Kingdom for them to know the inner workings of the council”.

While declaring that Chief Wilson Eboh “is the Regent in the absence of an Orosuen (King) by virtue of his position as the Otota (Traditional Prime Minister) of Okere-Urhobo Kingdom”, The Traditional Council of Chiefs accused Chief Gideon Okumagba, Chief Victor Okumagba and Chief Eseoghene Eshalomi of being the brains behind the bail of Chief Kesiena Okumagba after the latter controversially paraded himself as the new Orosuen of Okere-Urhobo Kingdom.

The statement signed by Dr. (Chief) Paul Okumagba, The Egbe of Okere-Urhobo Kingdom, Chief Peter Edah Okoh, The Etche of Okere-Urhobo Kingdom and Chief D.B.O Opoggen, The Osiobe and Secretary to the Traditional Council of Chiefs, averred that there was no time people of Okere-Urhobo demanded for the removal of the D.P.O of Police ‘B’ Division, Warri.
