Members of Fellowship of Christian Traditional RulerS of Nigeria, FECTRON on Thursday September 24, 2015 congratulated the Itsekiri Nation for the smooth transition, following the demise of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse II to the emergence of Olu of Warri designate, Prince Godfrey Ikenwoli Emiko, saying it is worthy of emulation.
The monarchs who were represented by the Owhorode of Olomu Kingdom, R.L. Ogbon Ogoni, the Ovie of Idjerhe Kingdom, Erhiekevwe I, The Obi of Ute-Okpu, Pastor Solomon Chukwuka, The Obi of Otolokpo, Ezemuali Aluoma Collins and The Obi of Ubulu- Uno, Obi (Dr.) Kikachukwu described The late Ogiame Atuwatse II as their friend.
Leader of the delegation, the Owhrode of Olomu Kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area, disclosed that the late Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse II was the Founder and National Chairman of Fellowship of Christian Traditional Rulers of Nigeria, FECTRON, adding that the revered transited monarch was billed to lead FECTRON delegation to South Africa in few weeks for a conference before his demise.

The Ovie of Idjerhe Kingdom in Ethiope West Local Government Area, Erhiekevwe I in an earlier remark, noted that traditional Kings don’t die but they only came to share with the Itsekiri people on “the one that has come in”.
Responding on behalf of Itsekiri Nation, Chief Charles Ikomi expressed gratitude to God for the length of time He gave the departed Ogiame Atuwatse II “despite the challenges he faced” and declared that “The Lord took him when it pleased Him”.
Our Correspondents report that Itsekiri Chiefs who were present at the Olu of Warri Palace in Warri to receive the delegation included Chief S. Irone, Chief Emmanuel Jones, Chief Otimeyin Adams, Chief Ayirimi Emami and Chief (Dr.) Richmond Macgrey, while the Regent and Head of the Emiko Royal family were also present.
