The Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Hon. Matthew Mofe Edema has issued a fresh warning to residents of Warri against indiscriminate dumping of refuse along major roads and streets.
The Warri South Council Boss handed down the warning today, Thursday November 5 in an exclusive chat with Fresh Angle International while monitoring the clearing of overgrown weeds and sand by Officials of Warri South Local Government Council along the NPA Expressway, Ogunu and Airport Roads as well as other major roads in the Oil City of Warri, Delta State.
According to him, anyone caught dumping refuse along the road will be prosecuted by the Council to serve as deterrent to others.
He stressed that the on-going clearing of over-grown weeds along major roads and streets in Warri by his administration will be a continuous exercise so as to make Warri South Local Government Area one of the cleanest in Delta State.
