True to weekend report by Fresh Angle International that Delta State bailout funds may have suffered heavily as a result of the Tribunal judgments in the state and that the hope of Delta Local Government workers may have fainted, Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has finally released pittance to Local Government Councils, even as the news of the money has left the workers in lamentation and frustration.
It was gathered that of the 20 billion naira allegedly released to the state as bailout, less than 3billion naira was this week released to the councils even though there are no liabilities of salaries owed State Civil Servants.
Investigation by your soar away tabloid reveals that out of the average five months salary owed most Local Government Councils in the State, most of them can only manage to pay two months next week.
Report says Warri South Council got 140million, Uvwie 180million, Ughelli South 180million and Okpe receiving 180million naira only, with report saying the Governor's excuse for releasing the pittance being put on the need to pay contractors from money released solely for payment of workers' salary.
