Just In: DESOPADEC staff in Police net over vandalism of power plant


The Delta State Police Command has announced the arrest of one Enudi Marcus, male and civil servant with Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC over a case of vandalism of Independent Power Plant Transmission Line in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of the State.

According to the statement released Friday November 20 by the Police Public Relations Officer, Delta State Command, Celestina Kalu, the said Enudi Marcus was apprehended at about 0600hours Thursday November 19 by Operatives of Special Anti Kidnapping Squad following a report by Nigeria Agip Oil in the area, adding that efforts are on to track other accomplices.

Meanwhile, on the same date, two suspected illegal arms manufacturers, 50-year old Ngozi Adogbeyi(female) and 25-year old Ewere Salami were also arrested.

The D.P.O, Obiaruku Division of the Nigeria Police, acting on a tip off raided the illegal arms manufacturing workshop located in the home of one Victor Adogbeyi at Ebuzunadaka area off Eziokpor Road, Obiaruku and nabbed the duo.

A statement by the Delta State Police Command claimed that items recovered from them included one electric cutting machine, filing machine, generator set and short guns of various makes as well as sizes of different stages of couple.
