President Muhammadu Buhari has disclosed that his administration discovered a total of 45 different accounts operated by Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC and 70 operated by the military when his administration assumed office on May 29, 2015 and immediately introduced the Treasury Single Account, TSA to check financial recklessness as well as corruption, adding that his administration has been able to mop up 1.5 trillion into the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN as a result of TSA.

The President, who made the disclosure Wednesday December 30, 2015 during his maiden media chat which lasted from 7 to 9pm, noted that Nigerians would be briefed at the end of the first quarter of 2016 on the progress his administration has made in the fight against corruption.

He stated that his administration has documents to prove how Nigeria crude oil was looted and proceeds paid to personal accounts, but much would not be revealed until the looters are prosecuted.

While stressing that he won’t support devaluation of the naira except convinced otherwise, President Buhari warned that his administration will not tolerate anybody or group trying to create a state within the country, even as he averred that the likes of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of IPOB, Sambo Dasuki and former NIMASA boss, Patrick Akpobolokemi committed “atrocities” against the country with purported approvals from ex-President when the country currently has 2 million internally displaced persons.
