The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, has charged the Convener of Warri Cake Fair / Cake Show, Mr. Adeyemi Oluwatobi and members of his team, to use the event to revive the traditional dessert of Warri kingdom, praying that the showpiece will develop to global recognition.

Our Senior Roving Correspondent, reports that the Warri Monarch, gave the charge Wednesday January 18, when Mr. Adeyemi Oluwatobi and members of his team, paid courtesy visit to him at the Palace of the Olu of Warri in Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State.

 

The Olu of Warri, stated: “These are positive events that draw positive attention to Warri. I believe that there are potential ideas in every event, depending on how you nurture it”.

The Convener of Warri Cake Fair / Cake Show, Mr. Adeyemi Oluwatobi, earlier in his remarks, explained that the visit to the Olu of Warri, was to formally inform the Monarch of the 3rd Edition of Warri Cake Fair / Cake Show, coming up February 6 and 7, 2023 at the prestigious BrownHill Coliseum Center, Ogunu in Warri. 

 

Mr. Oluwatobi, noted that the Warri Cake Show, is an annual gathering of bakers and their vendors across Nigeria, to create the proper atmosphere for them to showcase their workpiece and products as well as network with colleagues/ industry captains, with a view to develop their skills, through detailed demonstration classes/symposium session.

 

Whilst disclosing that the theme of this year’s edition is, “Intentional About Career”, Mr. Oluwatobi, stated that professional bakers like President of the Nigeria Association of Cakes, Lagos and Sugarcraft, Tosan Jemide, Mr. Michael Salako, Lagos, Kema Abuede (Cake Priest) and Victor Ajuzie from Port-Harcourt, will headline the fast-approaching event. 

 

According to him, there would be award night, live wedding cake competition, cake display competition, symposium, demonstration classes, grants, deals from cake vendors and raffle draw.
