National President of Christian Association of Nigeria and Founder of Warri based Word of Life Bible Church, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor has described "arrogance as one the diseases worrying Nigeria", adding that the country is “full of arrogant people who do not give thanks to God”.

The CAN President who made the declaration Sunday February 21 at his church in Warri, Delta State during a sermon, as part of the Special Thanksgiving Service of Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa on his Supreme Court Victory, noted that it is only through thanksgiving to God that Nigerians can survive the present economic situation.

According to the cleric, apart from being the only vehicle that can move the presence of God, thanksgiving makes someone to be greater than his equals.

Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, who led his wife, Deputy, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro and other top government functionaries to the church, appealed to those who have been wronged in the course of the electioneering campaigns, court victories and its aftermath to forgive them, saying his opponents are no longer foes but need to partner his administration in the quest to move Delta State forward.

While describing “being sensitive and accountable as the true thanksgiving to those in government”, Dr. Okowa stated that many Deltans were worried when the Appeal Court judgment was moved to Abuja and particularly commended the Orodje of Okpe who he disclosed sent him a text regarding the apprehension.

He tasked Nigerians to always pray for those in government, whether they make them, the governed happy or not.
