A leading old generation bank in the country, First Bank Nigeria Plc, has hinted of possible temporary shutdown in any of its branches Nationwide in the event of skirmishes, Fresh Angle International can report.
The warning was contained in an unsigned statement released on its twitter handle this morning, Thursday February 9, urging customers to visit its website: www.firstbanknigeria.com for further information.
Whilst acknowledging that these are challenging times for both customers and the banks, the statement averred: “Those attacking bank branches only make it more difficult for us to do our part in resolving the challenges we collectively face”.
In the same vein, mobile policemen reportedly apprehended a Point-of-Sale, PoS, Operator at Ugbuwangue market by the junction, yesterday, Wednesday February 8 for allegedly collecting N1,000 charge for N5,000 withdrawal
