Warri South Council inaugurates 2023 revenue Ad-hoc Officials/ Mobile Payment Processors

Warri South Local Government Council in Delta State, on Monday January 20, inaugurated its 2023 Revenue Assessment Personnel, as part of the Dr. Michael Tidi administration’s resolve to embark on digital means of revenue collection.

Fresh Angle International can report that the inauguration was the highpoint of a one-day training and orientation programme, organized for about 300 Mobile Payment Processors, MPP, who will be responsible for processing all server - generated recipient demand notices to Warri South Local Government Council's treasury @ www.warrisouth.dl.gov.ng.

According to the Chief Executive of NICOLEX TECHNOLOGIES, Mr. Aligbe A. Paul, the training, which held at Warri South Council Sub-Secretariat in Warri, signaled the commencement of operations by the Mobile Payment Processors, as it relates to capturing businesses and properties in Warri South Local Government Area.    

The Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi, who was represented by Treasurer to the Local Government, Mr. Ugborugbo Moses, tasked the inaugurated personnel, who were drawn from the 25 revenue zones of the Council, to be of worthy representation and professionally implement the responsibility.  

Treasurer to Warri South Local Government Council, Mr. Ugborugbo Moses, decorated the grid leaders with the Warri South Local Government Official jackets, whilst at the same time cautioning members of the public, not to fall prey to anyone parading his or herself as revenue officials of the Council, particularly in terms of demanding cash payment.

Mr. Ugborugbo, insisted that all revenue payments to Warri South Local Government Council, is now being carried out at the Council's official website at www.warrisouth.dl.gov.ng after being assessed and profiled into the right revenue brackets.

The participants, expressed gratitude to Dr. Tidi, for the laudable initiative, describing it as very proactive, following the current cashless policy in the country.
