Federal Polytechnic Orogun, Delta State was established by the Act titled: 'An Act to  Establish Federal Polytechnic Orogun, Delta State to Provide  Full-time & Part-time Courses in Technology, Applied Science, Management and Other Fields of Studies and to Make Provisions For The General Administration of The Polytechnic and For Related Matters (SB 34: Federal Polytechnic Orogun, Delta State (Est., etc) Bill, 2019)  Enacted by the National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and Approved by His Excellency, President  Muhammed Buhari, GCFR, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on April 27, 2022. The President and Commander-in-Chief has also appointed the Principal Officers of the Polytechnic effective 17th January, 2023. Candidates must possess a good Bachelors Degree (minimum of Second -Class Lower Division) or

            Higher National Diploma (Upper Credit) plus PGD in relevant discipline with NYSC Certificate and at least three years cognate experience.

 

2.  Lecturer III – CONPCASS 03

Candidates must possess the relevant Master’s Degree with at least three years teaching/research/industrial experience, plus at least one Journal/Conference/Seminar paper(s).

 

3. Lecturer II - CONPCASS 05

Candidates must possess relevant Master’s Degree plus at least six years teaching/research or industrial work experience with four Journal publications/Conference papers or a Doctorate Degree in relevant discipline plus three journal publications/Conference/Seminar papers.

4.  Lecturer I – CONPCASS 06

Candidates must possess relevant Master’s Degree plus at least twelve years teaching/research or

 industrial work experience and four journals accepted for publication/Conference/Seminar

papers or a Doctorate Degree in a relevant discipline plus three years teaching/research or industrial

work experience plus three journal publications/Conference/Seminar papers.

 

5.  Senior Lecturer – CONPCASS 07

Candidates must possess relevant Master’s Degree with at least fifteen years teaching/research or industrial work experience. Such a candidate must have published a total of seven conference/seminar papers, six journal articles accepted for publication, or contribution of two chapters in a standard text book(s).  

6.  Library Officer -CONTEDISS 6

Candidates must possess a National Diploma at Credit level, in Library and Information Science/Technology.

7. Administrative Officer II      -CONTEDISS 07

Candidates must possess a good Bachelor’s Degree (minimum of Second Class Lower Division) in Arts, Social Sciences or Humanities, plus NYSC Certificate.

 

8. Administrative Officer I     -     CONTEDISS 08

Candidates must possess a good Bachelors Degree (minimum of Second Class Lower Division) in the

Arts, Social Sciences or Humanities, with at least three years post-qualification relevant experience or

a candidate possessing a Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline with at least three years post-

qualification cognate experience.

 

9. Assistant Registrar – CONTEDISS 09

Candidates must possess a good Bachelor’s Degree (minimum of Second-Class Lower Division) in the Arts, Social Science or Humanities, plus at least six years post qualification cognate experience or holder of a Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline plus at least three years post- qualification cognate experience.

Candidates must possess any of the qualifications specified for Quantity Surveyor II above plus at least three years post-qualification cognate experience or a holder of a Master’s Degree in relevant field.

Candidates must possess any of the qualifications specified for Quantity Surveyor II above plus at least six years post-qualification cognate experience, or a Master’s Degree with three years cognate experience.

 

40. Architect II   - CONTEDISS 07

Candidates must possess any of the following or

equivalent qualifications registerable with the Architectural Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON):

a)         A good Bachelor of Science Degree (minimum of Second -Class Lower Division) in Architecture from a recognized University.

b)   A pass in the final I Examination of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

c)      A pass in the final I Examination of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA).

 

41. Architect I     - CONTEDISS 08

Candidates must possess any of the qualifications specified for Architect II above or Master’s Degree in Architecture or possessing Master’s Degree in Architecture obtained from an institution of Architects or the Royal Institute of Architects.

 42. Senior Architect    - CONTEDISS 09

Candidates must possess a good Bachelor’s Degree (minimum of Second Class Lower Division) in Architecture or equivalent plus provisional registration of ARCON and spent at least six years on the grade, or 3 years for Master’s Degree in Architecture.

43.  Builder II - CONTEDISS 07

Candidates must possess any of the following qualifications, registerable with the Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria (CORBON):

a)               A good Bachelor’s Degree (minimum of Second-Class Lower Division) in Building or Building Technology from a recognized university

b)  A pass in the final Examination II examination of the Nigeria Institute of Builders (NIB).

c)  A pass in the final part II Examination of the Chartered Institute of Builders of England (CIBE).

           

44. Builder I   -           CONTEDISS 08

Candidates must possess any of the following qualifications, registerable with the Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria (CORBON):

a)               A good Bachelor’s Degree (minimum of Second Class Lower Division) in Building or Building Technology from a recognized university

b)  A pass in the final Examination II examination of the Nigeria Institute of Builders (NIB).

c)  A pass in the final part II Examination of the Chartered Institute of Builders of England (CIBE).

Candidates must possess any of the following qualifications or equivalent, registrable with Town Planning Registration Council of Nigeria (TOPREC):

             - A Degree in Urban and Regional Planning/Town planning obtained from a recognised university.

- A pass in the final Examination of the Nigeria Institute of Town Planners.

-       Professional Diploma in Urban and Regional planning or Town Planning from a recognised institution (not equivalent to HND).
