Dr. Michael Tidi

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, Chairman of the Warri South Local Government area, Dr Michael Tidi on Thursday had a parley with members of the National Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, Warri South Council chapter, urging them to vote for candidates of the People's Democratic Party, PDP from the Presidential and National Assembly taking place this Saturday down the Governorship and State House of Assembly coming up on 11 March 2023.

Addressing staffers of the council, at the King George Hall, Warri, Tidi gave them reasons why they should cast their votes for the Atiku/Okowa candidature, and Sheriff/Oyema candidature.

Tidi said, a vote for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is a vote for Delta State, noting that this was the first time the Vice President slot was coming to Delta State.

He added that if Governor Okowa becomes the Vice President of the country, Deltans will be very close to Aso Rock and this will inturn bring development to the state.

He also appealed to the workers to vote for Hon Michael Diden, PDP Delta South Senatorial candidate, saying that he is a ranking member that will bring development to his senatorial district.

Tidi, stressed on the need for the workers to also vote for Hon Thomas Ereyitomi, PDP House of Representatives candidate representing Warri Federal Constituency, Hon Austin Uroye, and Hon Matthew Opuoru, PDP Delta State House of Assembly candidates representing Warri South constituency 1 and Warri South constituency 11 respectively.

The Warri South Council Chairman, while thanking the workers for supporting his administration for the past five years, reminded the worker about the economic downturn of the country which is bitting hard on everyone occasioned by the APC led administration policies.

Chairman of NULGE, Warri South chapter, Comrade Raymond Emiko, assured the chairman that the workers will do the needful.
