Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa has stressed the need for all Deltans to shun their differences and join hands with his administration in the quest to move the state forward.
The Governor made the call Sunday February 28 at the St. Michael's Catholic Church, Delta Steel Company, DSC in Ovwian Aladja,Udu Local Government Area during a Special Thanksgiving Service held by the Delta State President of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE cum State Chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Comrade David Ofoeyeno.
Our Correspondent reports that Dr. Okowa averred that making DSC to work optimally is not by selling it,but having the right system in place to run it.
Speaking earlier, the , Rev. Fr. Ezekiel Awori opined that if it is possible, government should take control of DSC again so as to provide jobs and accommodation for Deltans with a view to also reduce housing challenge in the state.
