* Tasks incoming exco on educational development
Former President of Aladja Community Council, Comrade Dennis Kabedje Tabuko says his leadership paid the sum of one million, two hundred and ten thousand naira owed workers of Aladja community council staff by his predecessor.
Comrade Dennis Tabuko who is eyeing the Udu local government chairmanship under the PDP platform in the forthcoming local government election, made the declaration recently at Aladja town hall in Udu, Delta State during the swearing in of anew executive to pilot affairs of the community for the next 3 years.
According t him, his administration realized the sum of thirty two million, ten thousand naira in 3 years and a total of thirty two million, nine hundred naira was expended on infrastructural projects.
Comrade Tabuko listed some of his administration’s achievements to include renovation of a block of 3 classrooms at Evwrirhe Primary School, electrification of the Junior Secondary school and its Principal Office, ongoing construction of a blockof 6 classrooms in partnership with Aladja Grammar School Old Students’ Association, re-establishment of NECO Examination centre for Aladja Grammar School, renovation of Junior Secondary School classroom block, payment of accommodation for youth corpers up to date, provision of employment for some youths of the community, on-going rehabilitation of DSC-Aladja expressway,establishment of customary and magistrate courts at Aladja as well as the rehabilitation of Aladja jetty.
The out-gone President while charging the new executive of Aladja community to lay emphasis on educational development of the area, expressed regret that his administration could not complete a few project.
In his welcome address, Vice President General of Aladja Community Council,Chief C.C.I Williki tasked members of the new executive to concentrate on infrastructural development, even as he advised them to be accountable, accept criticisms and improve on the legacies of their predecessors.
On his part,the immediate past spokesmen of Aladja Community Council, Senior Apostle Kpeku commended Comrade Tabuko led leadership and wished him well in his future endeavours on behalf of the community.
