The Councilor representing GRA Ward in Warri South Legislative Arm and Chairman of the 5-man Interim Youth Executive Committee of Okere Community in Warri South Local Government Area, Hon. Temile Solomon, has lashed out at blackmailers, peddling rumours that he has left Peoples Democratic Party for All Progressives Congress, APC, saying he remains a committed member of PDP, working very hard to ensure Delta State PDP Governorship Candidate, Rt. Hon. Sherriff Francis Oborewvori and other PDP candidates, emerge victorious in the March 18 Governorship/House of Assembly polls.
Recall that the Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Ejueyitsi Tidi, had on Monday January 16, 2023, announced the appointment of a 5-man interim youth executive committee to pilot youth affairs in Okere Community, Warri, for the three months, shattering the interests of the two factions, whose tussle for power, led to disturbances in the community.
Dr. Michael E. Tidi, who made the announcement, during an emergency security meeting held at his Office in Warri South Council Main Secretariat, averred that the decision was taken after due consultations with the Delta State government, The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III and the Olare-Aja of Okere, Ogieboro E. F. Esisi.
Fresh Angle International understands that since the intervention of the Warri South Local Government Boss in the Okere community youth leadership disagreement, which resulted in the restoration of peace and security in the Itsekiri community, some interested parties in the hitherto factions, have given political colouration to the administration of the interim youth leadership.
Hon. Temile, in an exclusive chat with This Pioneer Niger Delta Online Newspaper, today, Monday March 13, asserted that it was ironic for people who only recently joined PDP from the opposition All Progressives Congress, to launch an unnecessary blackmail against his person and drag issues of Okere community into politics, for personal gains.
