Warri based multi - dimensional businessman and politician, Comrade Esimaje Vincent Awani, has revealed how the peaceful disposition and humility of former Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, " quelled the haughtiness of Delta State APC governorship candidate in the March 18 elections, Senator Ovie Omo - Agege and ensured landslide victory for the PDP governorship candidate cum Delta State Governor - Elect, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwrori."
Awani, a former President of Itsekiri National Youth Council, INYC, posited that Dr. Uduaghan's open endorsement of Rt. Hon. Oborevwrori at a time when some influential members of the PDP felt aggrieved after the party's gubernatorial primary, healed wounds and restored confidence among PDP faithful across the state.

The ex - Itsekiri youth leader and chieftain of the PDP in a statement issued weekend in Warri, Delta State, opined: " As governor of Delta State, Dr. Uduaghan's detribalized posture, sacrifice for peaceful co - existence amongst people of the different tribes in the state and exceptional ability to navigate through potential crisis situations, played critical roles as evident in the overwhelming victory of Rt. Hon. Oborevwrori over his main contender, who is known for clannishness and arrogance."
He added: " We all saw how Dr. Uduaghan, stepped in, humbly embraced the governorship project of PDP in the state amid scathing remarks, campaigned vigorously for Rt. Hon. Oborevwrori and other PDP candidates across the length and breadth of Delta state, spent his time and resources in the process and got the buy - in of his associates as well as loyalists in making the Oborevwrori guber dream a reality."
Whilst expressing optimism that the incoming governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Oborevwrori, will run a pan Delta administration, Comrade Awani enjoined Rt. Hon. Oborevwrori " to continually consult Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, with a view to tap from his wealth of experience and ultimately deliver the kind of all - embracing governance and accelerated development Deltans have been yearning for over the years."
