An exclusive Dig-Deep by Fresh Angle International, has revealed alleged cases of rape rocking Girls Secondary School, Utagba – Ogbe, Kwale in Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State, with the latest involving an SS2 student (name withheld) happening Thursday May 4.
Our Kwale Correspondent, who was at the school, Friday May 5, reports that the incident of yesterday (Thursday May 4) occurred in the school premises at about 10:32am.
The victim, was said to have left her classroom to urinate behind one of the classrooms, because the Delta State Government owned school, has no toilet facility. It was in the course of urinating, that she was dragged into a nearby bush by an unknown male, who eventually raped her.
“This is not the first time such thing is happening in the school”, she told This Flagship Niger Delta Online Newspaper.
Another student of the school, who spoke to This Newspaper in confidence, narrated how on Wednesday April 5 (last month) a JSS 1 student was, “also mercilessly raped”.
The students called on Delta State Government, the State Post Primary Education Board and other well-meaning Deltans, to come to their rescue, “by erecting perimeter fencing in the school, to put an end to the incidences of rape and molestation.”
