College of Education, Warri, COEWA, has presented achievement award to the Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi, for his outstanding performance and contribution to the development of education.
The award, formed high point of the 20th Convocation Gala Night/ Award Ceremony of College of Education, Warri, held Friday May 12 at Prof. A. C. Unomah Auditorium in the institution.
The honour, which also recognized Dr. Tidi's contribution towards the growth and development of the society at large, was received on behalf of the Second - term Warri South Local Government Boss by one of his Political Aides, Mr. Christopher Agbajor.
In a terse statement, Dr. Tidi, averred that he was humbled by the award, "because it came from one of the oldest and reputable tertiary institutions in Delta state."
As an academic in politics, this recognition means a lot to me and it will further spur me to contribute more to educational development and other forms of human capital advancement " Dr. Tidi, assured.
