A member of the prominent Awala family of Warri Kingdom and Chairman of Itsekiri Interest Group, Mr. Gbubemi Awala, has commended Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi, for publicly acknowledging the “kind words of encouragement”, he received from the families of Late Justice S.A Ajuyah and Late Hon. Justice Alfred P.E Awala, in the build-up to the construction of Warri South Lodge, at GRA, Warri.
Dr. Tidi, was said to have acknowledged the encouragement from the departed legal icons, during commissioning of the Warri South Lodge, today, Thursday May 18.
Recall that Late Hon Justice (Chief) S.A Ajuyah, was the first President of the Delta State Customary Court of Appeal, while Late Hon. Justice Alfred P.E Awala (JCA) was the First Itsekiri Judge of the Federal Court of Appeal.
Awala, in a terse statement made available to Fresh Angle International on behalf of the Estate of Late Hon. Justice Alfred P.E Awala, JCA, noted: “I want to thank Dr. Tidi for openly acknowledging the encouragement and support, he received from the Families of Late Hon. Justice (Chief) S.A Ajuyah, the first President of the Delta State Customary Court of Appeal and Late Hon. Justice Alfred P.E Awala (JCA) the First Itsekiri Judge of the Federal Court of Appeal, as he (Dr. Tidi) explained his journey to return beauty to the once exquisite Ireden Crescent in GRA Warri.”
