Warri South-West Legislature, moves to enforce Girl-Child Education in Primary Schools


 

In what can be described as a strategic move to enforce Girl-Child Education in Primary Schools across Warri South-West Local Government Area in Delta State, Warri South-West Council Legislative Arm, will hold a one-day public hearing on: “A BILL FOR A BYLAW TO ENFORCE THE GIRL CHILD EDUCATION IN PRIMARY SCHOOL LEVEL / PROVISION OF LEARNING MATERIALS/INCENTIVES FROM THE WARRI SOUTH-WEST LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL".

 

The Leader of Warri South-West Legislative Arm, Rt. Hon. Emiko Odin-Etuwewe told Fresh Angle International, on telephone this morning, Wednesday May 31, that the public hearing, will hold at the King George Hall in Warri South Council Sub-Secretariat, Close to Main Market, Warri by 12noon, Friday June 2.

 

According to a statement by Hon. Linda G. Omatsone and Mrs. Atuyota, the Chairperson and Secretary, respectively of the Ad-Hoc Committee on Public Hearing, Warri South-West Legislative Arm, stakeholders expected at the public hearing, are drawn from “Education Departments, Civil Society Organizations, NUT, Local Education Authority, community leaders, Youth groups, Women associations, Students, Traditional and Religious Leaders, Market Women and Boat Drivers.”
