Amalgamated Oil/Gas Business  Concept Limited Holds Inaugural NEC Meeting In Delta

Amalgamation Oil and Gas Business Concept Limited (a subsidiary of Amalgamated Host Communities  Producing Oil, Gas, and Pipeline Impacted Communities in Nigeria) hosted its inaugural joint Board of Directors and National Executive Council meeting with delegates from across the country today 10th June, in Warri, Delta State.

 

 
In his opening remark, the Chairman and Managing Director of Amalgamated Oil and Gas Business Concept Mr. Roland Tonwe, stated that this was the first meeting after the inauguration, he explained “This company serves as the business aspect of our NGO, we cannot continue to wait on government to fund our business hence we have adopted this strategy to generate funds for our business” .

He added that  “one of the aims of this Amalgamated Oil and Gas Business Concept is to fund projects in our communities, with the following criteria, the community has to be registered with us, the traditional ruler of that community has write to us, introducing two of its members.
 
The traditional ruler will write a letter to the Company operating in their community, if the company approves the project, the approval will be sent to us and then we sign a tripartite agreement. It is only then we will send our engineers to the site to execute the project. By this a lot of our communities will be developed.”
 
Responding to the Chairman’s remark, Ambssador, Cyril Ali representing Imo state commended the Chairman for calling for the first meeting since the inauguration of the company. He however enquirer about the criteria for picking the Board of Directors for the company.
 
The chairman responded that the Board of Directors are taken from Five Oil producing states with quantum production “ the Board of directors are taken from five oil producing states with quantum production, that is Akwa Ibom, Delta, Ondo, Bayelsa and Rivers states, there are Two members from each state making it 10 members of Board of Directors .“
 
Mr. Obiora Edward Nwinye representing Enugu state also commended the Chairman on his leadership style “ It takes a very strong and courageous leader to embark on such a task, all I want to say is that I salute you sir, Nwinye said.
