World  Food  Safety Day: Shola Mese Foundation  Donates Food Items To Underprivileged persons

In a bid to alleviate the suffering of the less privileged and celebrate the 2023  World Food Safety Day, prominent non -  governmental organization, Shola Mese Foundation, has donated food items to some residents of Warri and Effurun in Delta State.

 
Our Senior Roving Correspondent, reports that the donation, which started Sunday June 11 at Shola Mese Foundation, was concluded today, Monday June 12, with over five hundred aged women, widows, physically challenged men and women, going home with food items like rice, beans, palm oil, Yam, Onions and  garri.
 
 
 
Dcn Shola Mese, who is the Founder of the Foundation, told Fresh Angle International: “We  are here to celebrate World  Food Safety Day,  a day set aside to access sufficient amount of safe food, in order to sustain life and promote good health."
 
He explained the gesture was part of the foundation’s commitment in supporting the less privileged in the society, saying: "This is what Shola Mese Foundation is known for and we will continue to do it.

“We want to see how we can bring these people together and help cushion the hunger in our society."
 
Dcn Mese, stated that the Foundation went out yesterday to give cash in form of grant to petty traders, to help expand their businesses.
 
Reacting after receiving the food items, some beneficiaries, expressed gratitude to the Foundation," for blessing them with food to eat."
 
“God bless Shola Mese Foundation and their team for always giving us food, if others in the society can emulate him, the society will be better, May God Bless him,” Beauty Aminuko, a physical challenged beneficiary, said.
 
Also Mrs. Tosan Eruwe, another beneficiary, said the gesture came at the right time when they were in need of the items.
 
“I want to thank Dcn Shola, for this kind gesture of  remembering us in the society , before I came here, there was nothing to eat, but now I have garri, rice beans and others to eat, this has reduced my expenses, May God bless him", she declared.
 
 Recall  that Shola Mese Foundation,  has in the past,  rendered free medical service, donated items like wrappers, food and educational materials worth millions of naira to residents of  Warri South and its environs.
