DTHA: Ughujohwovwo salutes Guwor, Akpowowo on emergence as Speaker, Deputy Speaker

Former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Udu Local Government Area of Delta State, Prince Sam Ughujohwovwo aka, CBN has felicitated with the Rt Hon Emomotimi Daniel Guwor on his emergence as Speaker of the 8th Delta State House of Assembly urging him to create a synergy with the Executive to move Delta State forward.

In a statement he personally signed, the former Udu PDP boss also congratulated Rt Hon Barr Arthur Akpowowo on his election as Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly.

He urged the leadership of the 8th Assembly to close ranks with the executive to move the state forward, stressing that the legislature does not need to be combative and aggressive against the executive to prove anything, stressing that what is paramount is the interest and wellbeing of the people they have sworn to serve.

Prince Ughujohwovwo also commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for creating the enabling environment for the house to choose their own leaders, calling on Deltans to support the House leadership in the task of delivering on their campaign promises through the MORE Agenda in the best interest of all.

‘’The election of Rt Hon Emomotimi Guwor and Rt Hon Arthur Akpowowo as Speaker and Deputy Speaker respectively is an act of God. These two men are capable to lead the House to create the necessary legislative support for the MORE Agenda of the Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration. Delta State is in safe hands. Things can only get better’’, Ughujohwovwo said.

‘’On behalf of myself, family and political associates, I felicitate with the new Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the State Assembly on their elections and successful inaugurations. This is a turning point in this administration’s effort at creating a liveable Delta for all. The Executive and Legislature must share the same goals and vision to serve and carry out the will and aspirations of the people who voted you to power so that you can provide the right legislative frameworks for the development of the state.

‘’The energy the leadership manifests in their carriage and disposition is what is needed to galvanize all towards the task of building a Delta state we all can be proud of. As Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the legislature, you have a duty to provide the right leadership in line with the oath you sworn to so as to partner with the executive in moving the Delta State forward. Congratulations again and again’’, Ughujohwovwo added.
