Alhaji Dr Mubarak Musa

Ahead of the November 11, 2023 Governorship election in Kogi State, candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, Alhaji Dr Mubarak Musa, on Sunday June 18, met with the Kogi State Executive of Inter Party Advisory Council, IPAC, appealing to them to look at competency and credibility of any candidate, before given such candidate their maximum support.

Our Kogi State Correspondent, reports that Musa, who was warmly received by the IPAC Executive, rolled out his agenda for electorates, if elected the next Kogi State Governor.

The Governorship hopeful, who said he was the right person, “to fill the vacancy in Lugard House”, stated, “my track record in entrepreneurship, human, infrastructural and capital development, speaks volumes within and outside the State.”

Whilst urging the leadership of IPAC, to look beyond political party or ethnic background of candidates in choosing whom to support, Musa challenged stakeholders to look at his credentials and manifesto, saying his agenda would address the yearnings of good governance Kogites dream of.

Also speaking, the Director-General of Alhaji Dr Mubarak Musa Campaign Organization, Hon. Ademu Eneape, told Kogites not to allow the opportunity of electing “a man who is committed to render selfless service to his people, slip away.”

According to Eneape, his principal has lined up various programmes that would be executed to ensure that, the people of Kogi feel the complete dividends of democracy, down to the grassroots.

While welcoming the August visitors to his office, the Kogi State Chairman, Inter Party Advisory Council, IPAC, Hon. Musa Ukwenya, tasked the NNPP Governorship Candidate to remain focused on issue-based campaign and avoid campaign of calumny, adding that, hate speech, promotion of violence, are not the way forward in any democratic setting.

The IPAC State Chairman, however, condemned in strong that, the fracas that ensued between Supporters of NNPP and the Social Democratic Party, SDP at the Unity House in Ayingba.

The Public Relations Officer of IPAC, Comrade Mohammed Kabir, said the body remains committed towards the actualization of “Kogi State of our dream.”
