The National Publicity Secretary of Itsekiri Consultative Congress, ICC, Edema Collins Oritsetimeyin, has spoken glowingly of the four Itsekiris appointed as Commissioner-nominees by Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, saying, “the reward for service, is more service.”
The four Itsekiri indigenes appointed Wednesday July 19, as Commissioner-nominees by Governor Oborevwori, are the Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, Warri North Local Government Area, Dr. Isaac Tosan Wilkie, Orode Uduaghan, daughter of former Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan, a prominent PDP leader in Warri South-West Local Government Area, Hon. Samuel Oligida and the second-term President of Itsekiri National Youth Council, INYC, Comrade Weyinmi Isaac Agbateyiniro.

In a felicitation message made available to Fresh Angle International last night, Edema Collins Oritsetimeyin, an ex-two-time President of National Association of Itsekiri Graduates, NAIG, stated: “Congratulations to my Leader and LG Party Chairman, Dr. Isaac Tosan Wilkie, Servant-Leader, Hon. Oligida Samuel, Innovative Sister, Orode Uduaghan and Big Brother, Weyinmi Agbateyiniro, on your nomination as Commissioners-Designate in Delta State.”

Whilst expressing optimism that the quartet, would use their Offices to attract development to Warri Kingdom, Edema recalled how Hon. Oligida Samuel and Comr. Weyinmi Agbateyiniro, former National Presidents of National Association of Itsekiri Students, NAIS, used their positions to galvanize Itsekiri students across the country, for the promotion of Itsekiri heritage and culture.

Recall that Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, yesterday, forwarded names of 26 Commissioner nominees to the State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation for appointment.
Among names forwarded to the House were those of former Commissioners of Finance, Information, Basic and Secondary Education and Higher Education, Chief Fidelis Tilije, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, Mrs. Rose Ezewu and Dr. Kingsley Ashibuogwu respectively.
