Appointments: I hate to believe Tinubu will abandon Itsekiris - Tenumah

 Itsekiri rights' activist and former Delta South Woman leader of All Progressives Congress, APC, Alero Naomi Tenumah, says she hates to believe that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will abandon Itsekiri Nation in terms of development of their land and appointments.                      

According to her, President Tinubu knows Itsekiri leaders in APC worked assiduously for his victory in the last general elections.                              

Tenumah, who expressed the optimism in a statement released at Abuja Friday July 28, despite President Tinubu's  appointment of Stella Okotete as the Minister - nominee from Delta state, asserted that President Tinubu's track - record of rewarding loyalty, hardwork and competence, was legendary.                                

The APC Chieftain and ex - member of Upper Benue River Basin Development Authority, UBRBA, noted that whilst it was natural for Itsekiri leaders in APC, to dream of ministerial and other relevant appointments, their, "confidence in Tinubu's political philosophy, excellent leadership qualities, determination to reset Nigeria on the path of accelerated growth/ development, amid the current harsh economic realities, remains unwavering."                          

She posited: " Apart from being mother of the Nation as at today, Wife of the President, Hon. ( Mrs. ) Oluremi Tinubu, is our big sister and I believe she won't disappoint Itsekiri Nation, as it affects our fair share of infrastructural, industrial and human capital developments. I will also want to believe that the minister - nominee from Delta state, will see herself as a Deltan, tasked with the burden of   National service, not minister of a sectional interest."
