Your salaries will soon be paid- ASUSS Chairman, assured newly recruited Teachers

Newly recruited Teachers in Kogi State, have been told by the Kogi State Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Secondary School, ASUSS, Comrade (Dr.) Matthew Ranti Ojo, to be patient, assuring them that their salaries will be paid any moment from now.

 

Our Kogi State Correspondent, reports that Comrade (Dr.) Matthew Ranti Ojo, gave the assurance in a statement released, today, Friday August 4.

 

While noting that the union is aware of the current economic hardship Nigerians are facing, Comrade Ojo, said the delay in salary payment was due to some hitches.

 

According to him, the hitches has been solved and that payment will be made to each Secondary Teachers account any moment from now.

 

He acknowledged the discomfort this development must have caused to the teachers, just as he appealed to them to remain focused and committed in the discharge of their duties.

 

The statement reads" We sincerely apologize and empathize with the newly recruited Secondary Teachers whose salary is being delayed due to some challenges. The union is aware of the harsh economic atmosphere workers are facing in the present-day Nigeria.

 

" That is why, the Union is not resting towards ensuring that, their salaries are received within the shortest possible time. We are in consultation with the Government in ensuring that, payment is made immediately. All the documentation has been done, and they would soon be receiving alert from their various bank account".

 

Comrade Ojo, however, charged Secondary School Teachers in Kogi State to see their work as a call from the almighty God, adding that, Teachers remains nation builders, who set the pace for development to strive in any Country.

 

He reiterated the union commitment towards the welfare of Secondary School Teachers in Kogi State, stressing that, under his leadership, Teachers will always be proud of choosing the teaching profession.
