Expect the best from the 8th Assembly- Kogi House Committee Chair, Ogunmola promises
Hon. Bode Ogunmola

The Chairman, House Committee on Information in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Bode Ogunmola, has promised Kogites good and effective representation from members of the 8th Assembly, currently serving the State.

Fielding questions from Assembly Correspondents, in Lokoja on Friday August 4, the Lawmaker who is representing Ogori/Magongo State Constituency, assured that the current Assembly, will bring governance down to the grassroots, through oversight function.

Ogunmola, who was a former Commissioner for information in Kogi State, hinted that, his committee will continue to engage the media, to ensure positive reports about the activities of the 8th Assembly.

He commended the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf, for the opportunity given to him to serve in the committee, stressing that, with his wealth of experience in the media space, Kogi State House of Assembly, will be projected positively.

Ogunmola, appealed to members of the Fourth Estate of the Realm, to collaborate with the House towards achieving the dividends of democracy to the People of Kogi State.

" My job is very simple, which is to give you first-hand information about the Kogi State House of Assembly. I don't tell lies. Whatever I tell you, just go to sleep, you are covered", Ogunmola averred.

Meanwhile, Hon. Bode Ogunmola, has debunked insinuation that the circumstances that led to the suspension of Ibaji Local Government Chairman, William Iko-Ojo, was politically motivated.

"The life of an individual is involved here. In this situation, the Chairman should come and tell us what happened. If you are elected to work for your people, you are supposed to do it within the ambit of the law. If as Chairman, people died and you could not go and show remorse, that means something is wrong", he said.
