The People of Eggan ward have endorsed the Candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo to succeed incumbent Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
They made their position known at a campaign rally on Monday in Eggan ward under Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The people who came out in their thousands to campaign for APC said Kogi State needs a leader who will continue to champion the course of the masses.
Led by the Kogi State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajia Fatima Kabir Buba, the APC supporters said Eggan ward is fully in support of the APC candidate as they believe he has capacity to deliver true dividend of democracy down to the grassroot.
Our Kogi State Correspondent, reports that addressing mammoth crowd, Hajia Fatima Kabir Buba, explained that the present administration has done well in Kogi State and needs a competent, reliable and trustworthy individuals like Ododo and his Deputy Joel to move Kogi State forward.
According to her, the people of Eggan ward should shun sentiment, and come out in their numbers to vote for the APC candidate who she described as a beautiful flower that is needed to beautiful the length and breath of Kogi State.
"We have a candidate who is fully ready to work for the people. Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo is the Man that all the Sons and Daughters of Eggan ward, Lokoja Local Government and the entire State should pitch their tent with.
"He has the capacity to continue the good legacies of our amiable digital Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello. Looking at what I have seen today with this mammoth crowd campaigning for APC, victory is already sure for us".
Buba thanked party supporters for their commitment and loyalty, assuring them that, when Ododo and Joel is elected, they will be rewarded for their good work in Kogi State.
The Commissioner, however, commended Governor Bello for his good work in Kogi State.
She described Governor Bello as a leader who has sacrifice everything just to see Kogi State among the comity of State that has with unprecedented development in the last seven and half years.
