The Palace (Olu Palace, Warri) Laison Officer, PLO to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, Mr. Edema Collins Oritsetimeyin, has appealed for the interests of host communities to be taken care of, in the on-going Quick-fix repair of Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company, WRPC, as enshrined in the Local Content Act.
Fresh Angle International can report that Edema, who made the appeal today, Tuesday October 31, when he paid a working visit to the Managing Director of WRPC, Mr. Chu Efifia, assured Mr. Efifia of “His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III CFR, The Olu of Warri’s support towards the successful completion of the Quick-fix repair.”
The PLO, also guaranteed the WRPC MD of continued harmonious and peaceful relationship between the WRPC and her Host Communities.
The Palace Liaison Officer, who lamented the effect of the high cost of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) on Host Communities in the Riverine Areas, especially the Escravos (Ugborodo) and Benin River axis, expressed hope that the speedy completion of the Quick-fix repair of WRPC, will ameliorate the sufferings of “our people in the riverine areas.”
