The ever-busy and densely populated Enerhen Junction, Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State and the popular Marine Gate, along Warri Sapele Road, close to former Shell Ramp in Warri, Warri South Local Government Area, is expected to be bridged with a flyover in the next two years and three months, following the groundbreaking ceremony performed Monday November 27 by Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for the commencement of construction of four strategic projects.
Fresh Angle International, can report that the projects; a flyover bridge from Enerhen Junction, Effurun to Marine Gate, Flyover Bridge at PTI Junction, along the Effurun/Patani East West Road Highway, Flyover Bridge at DSC Roundabout, along the Effurun/Patani East/West Road Highway and the Construction of a road expansion and cloverleaf interchange at the existing Effurun Flyover Bridge, valued at N77,997,159,339.91, was awarded to Julius Berger Nig. Plc.

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Oborevwori, in a post on his X handle this afternoon, after the commissioning, stated: “This very important event underscores this administration's commitment and determination to improve road and transport infrastructure, as contained in the M.O.R.E Agenda of my administration.
“These critical infrastructures will not only change the face of Warri/Effurun Metropolis, but also ease the traffic congestion in the area and alleviate the hardships faced by commuters. Thank you, Deltans and residents; together, we can do more.”
In his reaction, Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi, averred: “History is repeating itself, 48 years after Julius Berger left Warri. As the Chairman of Warri South Local Government, I am so delighted with this development (Referring to the bridge from Enerhen Junction, Effurun to Marine Gate) and I most thank His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for this feat.

“Let me also assure you that the youths of Warri, have given their commitment that they will cooperate with the State government and the company executing the project, to ensure that it is completed in record time. This has been communicated to the State government, The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III and other critical stakeholders. The youths know the positive multiply effects the project is going to bring.”
