Major breakthrough was reached this evening, Sunday December 10 as major families in Okere - Urhobo Kingdom, Warri in Delta state, were given one week, effective today, to reach a compromise and communicate to the Authorities of Warri South Local Government Council, on a proposed membership of a new youth leadership.

Recall that the Dr. Michael Tidi administration of Warri South Local Government Area, few days ago disbanded youth bodies in Okere  - Urhobo, over security concerns.

The one week ultimatum handed  down to leaders of the major families in the kingdom to fashion out a consensus youth  leadership for Okere  - Urhobo Kingdom, was the major thrust of an emergency security meeting convened this afternoon by the Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi.

The meeting, which held at the Warri South Council Lodge, Warri, was attended by Secretary to Warri South Local Government, Mr. Joseph Oribioye, top security personnel from the Police Area Command, Warri, Police ' B' and' A' Divisions Warri, the Department of State Services as well as the Nigerian Army.

Dr. Tidi, who presided over the meeting, attended by five leaders each from the two   hitherto contending families/ interests, said his administration was determined to get a unified youth body for Okere - Urhobo Kingdom.

Whilst asserting that his administration would adopt the model that brought the former Executive of Okere - Urhobo youth leadership, the Warri South Chief Security Officer, emphasized the need for the Orosuen of Okere - Urhobo, in consultation with the Orosuen - In - Council, elders and other subjects in the kingdom, to amend the constitution guiding Okere - Urhobo, particularly as it affects activities of youth body in the kingdom.
