The Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi, on Saturday December 16, ended the youth leadership crisis in Okere - Urhobo Kingdom, which almost polarized Chiefs and elders of the kingdom.                              
 
The eventual resolution of the youth leadership crisis, was fallout of a rescheduled security meeting held at the Warri South Council Lodge in GRA Warri, between Dr. Tidi, flanked by relevant officials of Warri South Council, Security Chiefs from the Police, DSS and Army as well as leaders from the major families that make up Okere - Urhobo Kingdom.                            
 
The Warri South Chief Security Officer, after listening to submissions from leaders of the different interests and security chiefs, zoned positions to the five major families of Okere - Urhobo Kingdom.                              
 
Whilst Oki family was mandated to produce the next Chairman of Okere - Urhobo youth leadership, Olodi family got the nod to nominate the next Vice Chairman, leaving the position of Secretary to Makro family.                   
 
The other exco positions in respect to how it was zoned are as follow: " PRO; Itifo family, Financial Secretary; Ighogbadu family, Treasurer: Olodi family, Assistant Secretary; Itifo family, Chief Whip; Oki family, Cultural Officer; Olodi family, Organizing Secretary; Makro family, Auditor; Ighogbadu family and Sanitary Officer; Ighogbadu family.                                    
 
Dr. Tidi, directed that the positions should be filled latest Monday December 18 and inauguration of the incoming youth leadership fixed for Tuesday next week.                          
 
The Warri South Local Government Boss, also mandated leaders of Okere - Urhobo Kingdom, to turn in an amended constitution for the regulation of Okere - Urhobo youth activities to the office of Warri South Chairman latest January 19, 2024.
 
Recall that the Executive Council of Warri South Local Government, had on Tuesday December 5, announced the disbandment of all youth organizations/ development movement in Okere - Urhobo Kingdom over security concern.
